Opportunity for DNP and PhD students to participate in a research study

The School of Nursing has been asked by a research team at Florida State University’s Center of Population Sciences for Health Empowerment in the College of Nursing to notify doctoral students at our School of Nursing about an opportunity to participate in a research study. The goal of this research is to examine the experiences of doctoral students in nursing and public health programs across the United States and to better understand doctoral students’ perspectives on their discipline, science identity, mentorship alignment, and current issues in health research.

DNP and PhD students are eligible to participate. Participation involves completing a brief online survey (approximately 10 minutes). At the end of the survey, participants will have the option to indicate their interest in participating in a 30–60-minute semi-structured interview conducted via secure video conferencing. A subset of participants (up to 40) will be invited to take part in the interview. If selected, a member of the research team will reach out to schedule it. Interviews will take place between May and July. Participants who complete an interview will receive a $20 Visa gift card.

The study is part of a class project for the PhD Course NGR6815-1: Qualitative Research Methods at Florida State University and has received an exempt determination by the Florida State University Institutional Review Board (STUDY00007352).
