The SoN Student Awards and Recognition Committee (SARC) is sharing this award opportunity for student and faculty awareness:
The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) sponsors the Poster Award to recognize excellence in scholarly poster presentations. This award highlights students and early‑career members whose posters, on any topic, have been accepted for presentation at the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting and demonstrate clarity, innovation, and strong contribution to the field.
About the Award:
• Number of recipients: Five
• Award Amount: The five recipients each a receive a certificate and are recognized at the ESPO Business Meeting and Breakfast at the Annual Scientific Meeting.
• Recognition event date: Award will be presented during the poster session or a designated recognition event at the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting.
• Registration and/or travel support: There are several travel stipends to assist student members with costs associated with attending the Annual Scientific Meeting.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Open to students in any program and early‑career GSA members
• Self‑nomination
• Poster must be based on an abstract accepted for presentation at the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting
• Topic may be any area of research or practice relevant to aging

June 9-July 28, 2026. Note: abstract submission deadline was March 2026
