What motivates community members to participate in health research?
Read about a Madison resident who works to uplift marginalized voices in health, education, and civic life, in the May issue of CARE Connections, the monthly newsletter of the SoN’s Center for Aging Research and Education. Here’s an excerpt:
“Research is a way to give to the community,” explains Edith Lawrence-Hilliard. “I think you will have a better program, a better research study when there is that synergy, that energy of working together with and for community.”
This month’s CARE Connections also includes profile of CARE Affiliate Laura Block, PhD, RN; the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging’s online falls prevention resources for caregivers; and news and events related to older adult health and well-being.
