The School of Nursing has been asked by a doctoral candidate at Liberty University to notify undergraduate students in our BSN program about an opportunity to participate in a research study titled “The Relationship Between Adverse Childhood Experiences, Anxiety, and Resiliency in Undergraduate Nursing Students.” The purpose of this study is to explore resilience among undergraduate nursing students, specifically how early life experiences, current anxiety, and personal resilience relate to one another as students move through the demands of nursing school. The goal of this study is practical: to help nursing programs build earlier, better-targeted support that helps students persist, graduate, and enter the profession ready for long, healthy careers.
The investigator is recruiting undergraduate nursing students who meet the following inclusion criteria to complete an online survey. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a pre-licensure nursing program in the United States. If you meet these criteria and are interested in participating, you can click on the survey link below. Responses are completely anonymous. Participants who complete the survey can choose to enter a drawing for one of ten $10 Starbucks gift cards.
This study has been approved by the IRB at the researcher’s institution. It is not an expectation that you participate. This is something you can do if you wish. The UW-Madison School of Nursing will not know who decides to participate. To access the survey please click this link.
If you have any questions about the study, please contact the study lead: Kathleen Jones (kejones24@liberty.edu).
