The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing is scheduled for an accreditation site visit by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The onsite visit is November 18-20, 2026 for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program. CCNE is our nationally recognized accrediting agency for baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in nursing education.
As part of the accreditation process, CCNE invites third-party comments regarding the programs scheduled for review. Written comments must be submitted directly to CCNE and should be relevant to the graduate degree program’s compliance with CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (2024). All third-party comments must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English.
Please note that comments are only shared with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review the UW-Madison program prior to the site visit. At no point are third-party comments shared with the University of Wisconsin-Madison or the School of Nursing. All written comments must be signed and received by CCNE no later than October 18, 2026.
