3 hours shifts, 2-3 days a week, $22-$25/hour
We’re seeking a conversation partner for a retired academic who needs a little extra company, 3 hrs/day, 2 to 3 days a week. We can pay undergraduates $22/hr and graduate students $25/hr. The senior academic was born and raised in Italy and is fluent in Italian, French, and English. She would be happy to teach you Italian if you are interested! A bit more about her: She is in her 80s and loves walking, nature, animals, and books. Her research interests include Italian/Latin/Greek history, literature, philosophy, and Christian religions. The conversation partner doesn’t need to have expertise in any of these areas; the senior simply would like to have someone to talk with when her daughter is at work during the day. The senior academic lives on the near West side of Madison and is struggling with Alzheimer’s, so we would appreciate a very patient and caring conversation partner.
