What is the Nursing Learning Center?

A place where students can gather with like-minded, focused, and enthusiastic students to improve not only their understanding of the course material but of their own learning styles.

Support Services Offered:

Help with prerequisite courses, nursing courses, writing, well being, NCLEX preparation, and clinicals.

All sessions will be virtual via Blackoard Collaborate.  Please submit the Support By Request form (above) and Valerie Thomas or Larissa Furger (TAs) will respond via email to schedule a virtual support session.

NP Board Exam Content Review: Weekly, dedicated time to review structured content to prepare for the NP certification board exams.  Please see schedule.

NLC Wellness


The NLC offers a range of student wellness activities like humor therapy, relaxation therapy, sensory therapy, and creative art therapy.

Each month wellness activities are set up for students to experience while passing between classes – we call this Drive Thru Wellness – and we hope it brings a moment of peace.

Fall NCLEX Support

Fall support includes exam overview, highlighting various types of questions and how to approach them. Weekly reviews cover multiple topics with numerous NCLEX style exam questions.

OVERVIEW SESSIONS:

  • Overview sessions will be offered virtually the week of September 28.  Online (NCLEX Canvas page) – for 2nd year/ABSN students, same content covered at each session.

WEEKLY REVIEW SESSIONS:

  • Weekly review sessions will be offered via NCLEX Canvas course beginning October 5.

Spring NCLEX Support

Spring support includes review of licensure application and registering for the NCLEX.  Weekly reviews cover multiple topics with numerous NCLEX style exam questions.
