IDs & Badges

WisCard – Student ID

Every student should have a WisCard. The WisCard (UW ID card) provides access to the School of Nursing and other permitted buildings. The WisCard photo is also used for class rosters.

Get your WisCard at the WisCard Office in Union South. Visit their web page for more information.

Students should contact academic.affairs@nursing.wisc.edu for any access problems. Employees or students with a teaching assistantship should contact uwsonfacilities@son.wisc.edu for any access problems.

Clinical ID/UWHC Badge

Nursing students may be issued a badge to use in their clinical setting. Students should contact their clinical site for information on obtaining a clinical site badge. If you have any questions or need help getting in contact with your clinical site, contact the nursing Clinical Placement Team at clinicals@nursing.wisc.edu.

*Clinical Badges are issued from clinical site partners. UW Campus and the School of Nursing do not handle clinical badges. Once you are assigned a clinical site, if you have questions about obtaining a clinical badge or have access issues, reach out to your clinical site.
