Notes:
- Individuals with disabilities who may need personal emergency planning can contact tantivivat@wisc.edu.
- If you have sensory or other disabilities related to noise or flashing lights, you may want to carry earplugs or other accommodating items, as alarms may go off at any time.
- Review building evacuation and shelter maps posted throughout the building – these show nearest exits, accessible routes and exits, fire alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and more.
- In the occurrence of a Cooper Hall building evacuation, the designated assembly point is Rennebohm Hall, School of Pharmacy.
IDs & Badges
Nursing students are issued wiscards and clinical site badges. Contact Academic Affairs with any Cooper Hall access questions. Contact your clinical site or the Clinical Placement Team with any clinical site access questions.

Inclement Weather
The Chancellor is responsible for determining if, for the safety and welfare of students and staff, classes will be postponed or some services suspended due to inclement weather.
Colleges, schools, divisions and other campus units may not close on their own. Deans and directors must receive authorization from the Office of the Chancellor before directing employees and students not to report to work or sending people home. Weather related announcements will be provided via email, the UW-Madison home page (wisc.edu), and the local media.
Lockers
Lockers located in Cooper Hall and the Health Science Learning Center (HSLC) are available to undergraduate nursing students. Lockers located in Cooper Hall-Conger Lounge are available to graduate nursing students.

Lost & Found
The lost and found for Cooper Hall is located in the Academic Affairs Office, suite 1100. Office hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm. Found items can be dropped at the front desk. Stop by to see if an item you are missing has been turned in.
Personal items are kept until claimed or until the end of the semester. Following the end of the semester, remaining unclaimed items are donated.
Room Reservations
Certain classrooms on the second floor of Cooper Hall are reservable for general study sessions.

Self-Care/Wellness Rooms
Cooper Hall has three wellness rooms that are available for student use, rooms 1176C, 1176D, and 1176E.
Rooms are first-come, first-serve and are lockable from the inside. Follow the guidelines for room use posted outside the rooms.
Importantly:

Utilize the “IN USE” / “OPEN” occupancy sign-slide under the room number. Locking the door also engages a ‘DO NOT DISTURB’ message by the door handle

Limit your time to 90 minutes.

Clean up after yourself, there are cleaning supplies provided inside each room.

Student Printing
Students can print course materials using the School of Nursing student printer located in room 1176A. Student printing is monitored and managed by a campus service called PaperCut.

Transportation
The School of Nursing is located on the far west end of campus in Signe Skott Cooper Hall. There are many easy ways to access Cooper Hall from on or off campus. Click here for directions and parking information.
