DNP and PhD-Nursing students have priority for project and teaching assistantships administered by the School of Nursing. Project and research assistantships are funded by faculty research grants and by School of Nursing gift funds. Application for assistantships is made through the School of Nursing every spring. Students can expect to receive an email from Academic Affairs for application information each year.
All graduate assistantship positions are assigned as a percentage appointment of a 40-hour work week. Full tuition remission and eligibility for health insurance are provided for assistantships assigned at 33.3% or higher. Assistantships also provide a number of fringe benefits. For more information on types of funding please visit the Funding Information for New and Current Graduate Students page.
