Testimonials
“…The discussions presented in class and activities we did allow me to become a better listener regarding others’ lived experiences, articulate my knowledge and experience succinctly, and work together in a multidisciplinary environment. These aforementioned things will certainly set me up for success with a future in healthcare.”
“…I loved how small and discussion-heavy this course was. It required active participation every class period and improved soft skills vital to being an inclusive provider in the future that are otherwise not covered in a lecture-styled course…”

Being able to discuss with pharmacy and vet students helped me better understand health professionals’ experience, whereas I view things more from a systems or policy level. Our vet student’s insights emphasized how prevalent health equity is, even in nonhuman care. I was able to learn lifelong skills of empathizing with opposing viewpoints and having productive conversations…”
