HIRING: Short-term NURSING STUDENT hourly for research support

Dr. Ann Wieben, Assistant Professor at the UW-Madison School of Nursing, is seeking a nursing student (graduate-level preferred but not required) to help with a variety of tasks to support her study to develop an evaluation framework for generative Artificial Intelligence tools used in health care. The student employee will work approximately 10 hours per week. This job is expected to last 10 weeks, though it may be extended depending on workload and project progression.

Sample Range of Duties:
-Data entry
-Transcription of qualitative data
-Literature reviews using online academic databases (e.g., PubMed)
-Copying and scanning
-Scientific poster and recruitment material design
-Assistance with IRB protocol submission
-Basic data analysis (training provided)

Skills and Qualifications Required:
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Not afraid to ask questions when unsure of project direction
-Self-starter
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Good time management skills
-Professional and reliable

Strong candidates will demonstrate skills in at least three of the following areas, and training will be provided to reach additional proficiency in:
-Citation management software (i.e. Endnote, Zotero, Mendeley)
-APA and AMA formatting
-UW-Madison library databases
-Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
-Graphic design

Other tasks to support Dr. Wieben may be required. Pay rate is $15.00/hour. Some flexibility in schedule is offered, but ability to meet deadlines is important. This position requires working in a shared office on-site at Signe Skott Cooper Hall on the UW-Madison campus, but there may be some occasional flexibility for remote work.
