Vernon Memorial Healthcare Foundation and the Friends of VMH offer health career scholarships to individuals pursuing or furthering their education in the healthcare or wellness field. The Vernon Health Foundation, in partnership with the Friends of VMH, will be offering up to ten scholarships this academic year (five from the Vernon Health Foundation and five from the Friends of VMH) valued at $3,000 per scholarship to support a strong healthcare workforce for our communities both now and into the future.
Eligibility Requirements:
-Be a college student currently enrolled (and accepted) in a degree program at an accredited college, university or technical school pursuing a degree in a medical, nursing, or other healthcare-related field.
-Have completed at least two years of study in a bachelor’s degree program, or, be entering their final academic year of a technical, certificate or associate degree program.
-Have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4-point scale (or equivalent) for the academic year immediately prior to application.
-Applicants must be residents of Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, or Vernon counties – or be a current VMH Employee to be eligible
-Satisfy all application requirements, with the scholarship application received by the indicated due date.
