Dear Students,
By now, you may have heard about the 26th Annual Littlefield Leadership Lecture coming up at the School of Nursing. Presenter Tad Worku, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, CEN, ACC, will deliver a public talk called “Imagining the Future with Hope” at Cooper Hall on Monday, October 6th from 5-6:00 p.m., followed by a brief reception with light refreshments.
Mr. Worku, who is now an executive coach, speaker, singer/songwriter, and family nurse practitioner, left a career as a professional pop/soul musician to pursue nursing school. He speaks about the role of hope and connection in the nursing profession, but with an emphasis on finding purpose. He will use speaking, storytelling, and music throughout the lecture.
The message of the Littlefield Lecture is inspiring, informative, and fitting for this phase of your educational and professional journey. Please register here to attend the Littlefield keynote (evening) presentation in person or remotely.
In addition, there is a special student session being offered on the day of the keynote presentation at 11-11:45 a.m.. It will be offered in-person only in the Auditorium in Cooper Hall. Please see below for more information.
DAYTIME BONUS STUDENT PRE-SESSION WITH LITTLEFIELD PRESENTER TAD WORKU
Students: If the evening Littlefield Leadership Lecture keynote session described above sounds interesting, you may also be interested in attending this daytime student session Monday, October 6th from 11-11:45 a.m. in the Auditorium.
Mr. Worku is thrilled to engage and interact with you this way, using his coaching expertise. Please view his video invitation for the student session here.
With his firsthand understanding of the demands of student nursing experience, he will focus on purpose and hope. This “bonus” time is distinctly different than the evening keynote presentation, serving as a complement rather than a duplicate. Please consider attending both!
No registration is needed for the student session—just show up and enjoy.
