The School of Nursing has been asked by a doctoral student in the Computer Sciences department at UW Madison to notify students in all levels of our nursing program about the opportunity to participate in a research study. This study has been approved by the IRB committee at UW Madison. It is not an expectation that you participate. This is something you can do if you wish. Faculty at the UW-Madison School of Nursing will not know who decides to participate. If you have any questions about the study, please contact the study lead: Laura Stegner (stegner@wisc.edu).
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to inform the development of an interface designed for automating robot tasks within an assisted living facility setting. No programming or robotics experience is required for participation.
Study Participation: If you choose to participate you will be asked to participate in a 1-1.5 hour in-person study session in the UW Madison Computer Sciences building. The study session is an interactive interview format where the experimenter will demonstrate how to use our proposed system and ask for your feedback. You will also have the chance to interact with our robots.
Compensation: For your participation, you will be compensated at a rate of $12-25 per hour depending on your professional experience.
If you are interested in participating: Please complete the following survey, and a member of our study team will follow up to schedule the session.
