Harness the power of storytelling to elevate your scientific communication! In this workshop, you will learn how to craft compelling narratives through both engaging prose and visually effective scientific graphics. Together we will explore how integrating principles of storytelling brings clarity and impact to the communication of complex ideas.

Through interactive, hands-on activities, we will practice applying these principles to both your scientific writing and figure design.  We will also provide actionable strategies for streamlining the drafting and revision process.

Key Learning Objectives

  1. Apply storytelling principles to highlight the most important features of your research in both writing and visuals.
  2. Identify best practices for generating and efficiently revising scientific figures and text.
  3. Gain confidence as a communicator capable of sharing your science concisely and persuasively.
