The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) in Greenwood, South Carolina has developed a 12-month Medical Genetics and Genomics Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship – Greenwood Genetic Center (ggc.org) for a PA or NP designed to prepare the APP to evaluate and treat genetic disorders in individuals of all ages. The in-person academic training will build a broad base of knowledge in medical genetics and genomics coordinated with other clinical and laboratory trainees at GGC. The Fellow will attend the Advanced Human Genetics Graduate Course (a 19-week, 66.5-hour course), weekly conferences, monthly case reviews, and monthly seminars. Fellows will also complete a rotation in each GGC laboratory, gaining insight into the diagnostic studies used in the care of patients with genetic disorders. The application cycle is open and will close January 31, 2025 for a June 30, 2025 start date.
