Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering Workshop

The Graduate School will fund two UW–Madison graduate students to attend the CASE workshop in Washington, D.C., April 6-9, 2025. This entry-level program, sponsored by AAAS and other scientific groups, teaches STEM students about Congress, the federal budget, and science communication. Applications are due by Sunday, February 2, 2025. Read more about the workshop and application instructions.

 

Spring 2025 Delta Courses – Designed for graduate students and postdocs, Delta courses offer professional development in teaching, mentoring, outreach, and advising. Participants gain evidence-based teaching practices to become effective and inclusive educators, researchers, and mentors, with skills that are highly transferable to any profession. Courses also count towards the graduate/professional Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning.

 

 

Just added! Research Mentor Training Workshop Series – This non-credit workshop series option is great for graduate students and postdocs, whether they are currently mentoring or plan to mentor in their future careers. It’s an opportunity to experience evidence-based mentor training practices to become effective and inclusive educators, researchers, and mentors.
