Congratulations to Rachel Hawn!

PhD candidate Rachel Hawn was awarded a Nurses Foundation of Wisconsin Research Grant to support her dissertation study, A Survey of Symptom Experiences and Physical Activity Engagement Among Survivors of Adolescent and Young Adult Cancers. The aims of Rachel’s study are to characterize symptom burden and physical activity in survivors of adolescent and young adult cancers and to understand their preferences for a symptom self-management component in future physical activity interventions. Rachel’s ultimate goal is to reduce the risk of late and long-term complications of cancer and its treatment by supporting survivors’ ability to be physically active.
