Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Student Scholarships

The application is now open for UW-Madison’s 2025-2026 Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Student scholarships. More than 30 scholarships are awarded annually with amounts ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Application deadline is February 10, 2025.

Qualifications

  • At least one full academic year (2025–2026) left in your UW–Madison undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree program
  • Admission to UW–Madison by the scholarship application deadline of February 10, 2025
  • A significant cumulative break in education. (No break in education is required to qualify for a Single Parent scholarship)
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen as defined by FAFSA

How to Apply

  • Go to UW–Madison Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH)
  • Select the Show Filter button and select Division of Continuing Studies scholarships
    • Sign in and select Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students, OR
    • Sign in and type “scholarships for nontraditional, adult, & single parent students” into Search by Keywords and select Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students
  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Use these tips to help you complete the application
  • Complete one application to be considered for all scholarships under this opportunity!
