The UW-Madison Office of Sustainability has a Green Fund, which supports “student-initiated projects that address the environmental footprint, social impact, and operating costs of campus facilities.” The Office of Sustainability seeks to engage with a more diverse group (outside of the more traditional environmental/energy groups) of students interested in these sorts of projects on campus. For example, there is a potential project exploring UV-C treatment at a dining facility, which a student organization associated with health/wellness might be interested in. Additionally, students can propose other projects on campus. Contact Sadie Derouin for more information: sadie.derouin@wisc.edu (sustainability.wisc.edu)
