On behalf of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee (EDIC) and the HEDI office, we would like to invite you to share your thoughts on Inclusive Excellence in the linked survey below.
Inclusive excellence is our school’s way of ensuring a social commitment to building equitable, diverse, and caring environments that ensure all nurses are equipped to embody social justice and the richness of differences in order to help advance the health of the nation and the global community.
Inclusive excellence is a foundational pillar in all that we do here at the School of Nursing (SoN) and it is our collective efforts in promoting health equity, belonging, and inclusive action in actualizing a culture of inclusive excellence.
As we are collectively refreshing our Inclusive Excellence plan for 2026; You can help in a meaningful and representative way by completing this short survey (5-10 minutes) on your understanding and adoption of inclusive excellence principles in your work, studies, or practice. While we may ask you to identify your role in the SoN community (i.e. whether you are a faculty, staff, student, or other community member) your individual responses will be kept confidential. Meaning your responses will not be shared with your supervisor, coworkers, or professors in an identifiable way.
Our goal is to get a representable sample of feedback from our SoN community to inform our refreshing process of the current inclusive excellence plan. Your participation and honest feedback are paramount to assisting in this process. Participation is completely voluntary. However, we strongly encourage your participation in accordance with the spirit of inclusive excellence, uplifting the voice of all of us here at the SoN.
The survey will be open until Friday, November 22. You may access the survey here: https://uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9ZF31SqCKbPtQpM
