The Beta Eta at-Large Chapter of Sigma is pleased to announce the call for awards for undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD nursing students. The undergraduate and MSN scholarships and PhD grant are awarded in the spring; the DNP grants are awarded in the fall. A call for DNP applications will be sent out later in the year. Students who are Sigma members at Edgewood College or the University of Wisconsin-Madison Schools of Nursing are eligible to apply.
All undergraduate PhD applications are due by Friday, March 8, 2024 at 5:00 pm.

Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship Awards
The Beta Eta at-Large chapter is offering two $500 scholarship awards to undergraduate students who are members of Sigma. Applications will be reviewed for academic performance, personal and professional goals, and professional and community service. The scholarship funds may be used toward the cost of tuition, books, NCLEX prep courses or other school or licensing expenses. Please see attachments for the application. The recipients of the Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship Awards will be asked to accept their awards at the upcoming Beta Eta at-Large 2024 Spring Event (mid to late April, date and location to be announced).
Graduate Student Research Award
The Beta Eta at-Large chapter is offering one $1000 award to support research and scholarship in nursing to members of Sigma who are currently enrolled in the PhD program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Applications will be reviewed for clarity, succinctness, and feasibility of the proposed research or scholarly project. Please see attachments for the PhD application. The recipient of the graduate student research award will be asked to accept their award at the upcoming Beta Eta at-Large 2024 Spring Event (mid to late April, date and location to be announced) and attend the 2025 Spring Event to provide updates regarding post-award research-related activities.
