Each year, the UW–Madison Nurses Alumni Organization (UW NAO) honors outstanding graduating students by presenting them with pins donated by alumni of the School. Started in 1996, the pinning tradition illustrates the proud history of the UW–Madison School of Nursing and the strong connection alumni have to the School. All UW–Madison School of Nursing students, faculty, and staff are welcome to nominate (or self-nominate) graduating undergraduate nursing students for consideration to receive a nursing pin that has been donated by an alum. Pin recipients will be selected by the NAO and will be honored during a virtual pinning ceremony in late-April.
Nominations can be submitted in the Undergraduate Awards and Recognition Nomination Form.
