Research Bazaar – Register by Jan. 30

UW–Madison’s Data Science Hub is hosting the 5th annual Research Bazaar on February 7 and 8, 2024 at the Discovery Building. With an overarching theme of Data in Action, the Research Bazaar is a place to build community and technical know-how. Students are encouraged to participate. Understanding data and how analytical methods can be deployed in different fields and industries holds the potential to inspire new research directions and innovation, strengthen communities and public institutions, and improve overall quality of life for everyone.

The Research Bazaar is an inclusive, community-building event that encourages cross-pollination of ideas among researchers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, and community members, including students. The aim of this event is to foster a thriving data science community on campus and in the wider community, and to equip researchers from all career stages with the digital skills and tools required to do their work efficiently and equitably. Attendees will have opportunities to learn through participation in

  • Opening talks and a closing panel discussion
  • Lightning talks
  • Interactive discussions
  • Workshops
  • Posters
  • A career panel
  • An exhibit of art relating to science and technology

The career panel and closing panel will be offered virtually this year, and there is a separate registration process for those virtual events.

Register by January 30. View the full schedule and register here.
