New Training for Students Available this Suicide Prevention Month

September is globally recognized as Suicide Prevention Month and the 2023 theme is “Turning Awareness into Action.” To support this cause, we encourage all students to participate in UHS’s NEW online training, Recognize, Respond, Refer: Suicide Prevention Training for UW-Madison Students

This brand-new training launched on Canvas at the start of the semester and aims to provide students with information, guidance, and resources to support their peers. The training can be completed from home and on your own time—you can start, stop, and revisit the program as often as you like.

As a reminder, UHS offers no-cost mental health services for students, including individual and group counseling, psychiatry, stress management, and 24/7 crisis services. For an overview of on-campus services available, visit the UHS website.
