The Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Alternative Breaks Committee is a Wisconsin Union organization that provides on-campus volunteer opportunities as well as spring break trips for UW students! This year, WUD Alternative Breaks is offering 7 trips (see below). More detailed information can be found on their Instagram (@wudaltbreaks).
- LGBTQ+ Allyship & Advocacy in Charlotte, NC
- Native American Youth Enrichment in Eagle Butte, SD
- Education & Bare Necessities in Pipstern, WV
- Global Healthcare & Disaster Recovery in Woolridge, IL
- Health & Environment in Memphis, TN
- Sustainable Living & Agriculture in Port Royal, PA
This is a great leadership opportunity and resume builder for students! No experience is necessary, and scholarships are available for those with financial need. The priority deadline has passed, but there are still available spots, so please do not hesitate to reach out to the organization or apply!
For more information and to apply, visit the WUD Alternative Breaks page.
***CURRENT NURSING STUDENTS: Please make sure you are prioritizing your clinical hours over any Spring Break plans. Spring Break is a great opportunity to get your clinical hours in and you need to utilize that time if you are having trouble scheduling hours.
