Intergenerational programs have been shown to benefit people across the lifespan. Read about an intergenerational community founded by an SoN alumna in the January 2023 issue of CARE Connections, the monthly newsletter of the SoN’s Center for Aging Research and Education. Here’s an excerpt:
At Hope and a Future, “we’re looking to help people flourish,” said Krause. “When you bring generations together, children have people who have time to look at them, listen to them, play with them, and enjoy them. Seniors have a purpose in mentoring parents and children.”
This month’s CARE Connections also includes the PhD student who recently received research support from CARE’s Caregiving Across Healthcare Systems fund; a profile of CARE Affiliate Megan Zuelsdorff, PhD; and resources and news related to older adult health and well-being.
