Campus and Visitor Relations is Hiring their Next Cohort of Information Guides! Apply by November 10

Campus and Visitor Relations is hiring for their next cohort of information guides and tour guides who will start in January 2023.

  • Information Guides work behind the desk at both student unions and the Discovery Building, providing information and recommendations for our university and the surrounding Madison area, both in-person on the phone, and via e-mail. In addition, they check in guests for Admissions Information Sessions and Campus Tours.
  • Tour Guides lead campus walking tours for prospective/admitted students and groups of all ages. They share highlights of the student experience and personal reflections to give visitors a sense of the people and places that are UW.
  • Information Guides and Tour Guides are paid leadership positions, which start at $12.50/hour, with opportunities for advancement.
  • Selected candidates will become part of a student staff community of around 120 – it’s a great team to make campus feel a tiny bit smaller!
  • Campus and Visitor Relations provides flexible hours and support to be a student and person first, as well as opportunities for professional development and career readiness.
