Join the BCC for this edition of Friday Flicks in celebration of Latinx Heritage Month! They will screen Black in Latin America – a four part series focused on African influence in Latin America and the Caribbean. The docuseries focus on the shared African Roots in those areas and explores the history of colonization and slavery in those various contexts. Throughout the event, refreshments will be available. The four part series lasts 4 hours, please come and leave as you choose.
A Night with Curly Velasquez (Keynote Speaker)

Curly Velasquez is an actor, content creator and artist who celebrates all things Latinx and beautiful. He began his career in fashion working for celebrity photographer David LaChapelle, and design icon Jeremy Scott before starting his own line. Latine Ball

Doors open at 6:30 PM. The Latine Ball is an annual event at the end of Latine Heritage Month where we can celebrate Latine Culture and dance together in community. An awards ceremony hosted by the Latine Student Union will be presented during the dance acknowledging all the accomplishments they have made this year. There will be plenty of food and music! RSVP form will open Monday, September 27th.
