Hope & A Future – An opportunity to be part of an intergenerational neighborhood

Please see the below message from a BadgeRNurse alum regarding an opportunity to be part of an intergenerational neighborhood right here in Madison.

Hello,

I am an alumni of the nursing program at UW – 1979. I started a non-profit called Hope & A Future. I am working on building an intergenerational neighborhood on High Point Road in Madison. Our beautiful home includes live-in help and four people we provide care for. I live onsite and am also working to expand our site to create an intergenerational neighborhood where young and old are empowered to help each other flourish! We have live-in opportunities for caregivers who work every other weekend and a few evening hours in exchange for room and board. The job is low stress and on the level of a hands-on caregiver. Our setting is beautiful, intergenerational, and not particularly far from the University – we are near West Town. We have live-in positions open now.

Here is a link to a short video showing the current Licensed Adult Family Home as well architectural renderings of the expansion we are working on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r1cUB9S2C8

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about being a part of an intergenerational neighborhood, please give me a call at the number below. I will be happy to answer questions and give a tour to anyone interested in this unique opportunity.
