Each year, the Nurses Alumni Organization (NAO) honors outstanding graduating students by presenting them with pins donated by alumni of the School. Started in 1996, the pinning tradition illustrates the proud history of the UW–Madison School of Nursing and the strong connection of its alumni to the School.
The strongest candidates to receive an alumni pin:
- are concerned, caring people
- are well-rounded in personal and service-oriented commitments but with recognized academic accomplishments
- have overcome significant challenges to attend school
- have completed an important and innovative project to improve the health of the community

There will be a virtual pinning ceremony on April 27 from 5:30-6:30pm CT. You are welcome to attend and support the recipients as they are recognized for their accomplishments:
