Spring 2022 Associated Students of Madison (ASM) Elections – Declaration Form Closes Feb 25

ASM is now accepting Candidate Declaration Forms online for the Spring 2022 Elections, which will take place March 28 – 30, 2022.  Serving on the Student Council or the SSFC is a great opportunity for you to represent your fellow students, develop interpersonal skills, and build your resume. Applications can be found here and must be completed and submitted by noon on Friday, February 25, 2022.

Student Council is comprised of 33 elected representatives and is chiefly responsible for exercising the legislative powers and duties of shared governance as stipulated by Wisconsin State Statute 36.09(5). Student Council Representatives serve their constituents through student advocacy and by reviewing and recommending changes to campus policy pertaining to student life, services, and interests. Elected representatives will serve from April 24, 2022 – April 23, 2023.

The Student Services Finance Committee (SSFC) is made up of UW students whose task is to make recommendations to ASM Student Council on the allocation of over $50 million in segregated fees. SSFC provides substantial (typically $20,000 and upward) funding to organizations that provide a non-academic but educational service to the UW-Madison student body. Elected SSFC representatives will serve a 2-year term from April 24, 2022 – April 23, 2024.
