The Peace Corps Journey: Where Can It Take You?
Location: Wisconsin Idea Room 159, School of Education
Life is a journey, and the conscious choices we make along the way have impact. As a writer, Lori explores the pathway to our selves. As a scholar, she works with deep empathy with students and community members alike. Listen, reflect and prepare for your own journey.

Peace Corps: From Volunteer to International Business
Virtual
Peace Corps service often becomes part of our definition of who we are. The host country nationals we meet become friends and family. Tony will talk about how his connections to Botswana remain strong today, and reflect on his successes along the way.

Thursday March 3, 4-6pm
Multicultural Career Fair
Location: Varsity Hall Union South
The Multicultural Career & Internship Fair is a prime opportunity for talented UW-Madison students seeking internships and full-time employment to meet with over 40 organizations that are seeking diverse candidates. All current UW-Madison students and recent alumni are encouraged to attend. Meet with the campus Peace Corps Recruiter and a returned volunteer who was evacuated in March 2020 to find out more about how important service can mean in your life.

Saturday March 5, 11am-2pm
Freeze for Food 5K/10K
Location: Vilas Park Shelter
Get excited for the 41st annual Freeze for Food run/walk! The 5K will start at noon, and the 10K will start at 1 p.m. This event is run by the RPCVs of Wisconsin–Madison with the goal of providing a fun way for people to get outside and exercise while also raising funds to support Madison’s Open Doors for Refugees. Open Doors for Refugees is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the resettlement of refugees and welcoming them into the Madison community. Participants will have the option to join virtually or in-person. In-person runners will follow a path along Lake Wingra, while virtual participants can choose any preferred location. LEARN MORE.
