Oakton is pleased to be offering an OR nursing course again this summer. This course is designed to expose students to the perioperative environment with a focus on patient safety. Students will experience 5 clinical O.R. shifts and 8 weeks of didactic.
Students will be awarded a certificate in Introduction to Perioperative Nursing. Since the program has received certificate status, students will pay in district tuition rate, even if they live out of district.
All students need to meet clinical agency requirements (health, CPR, mandatory training, criminal background check and HIPAA). Students must have completed two semesters of nursing clinical courses or have an RN license.
