Achievement Connections is a math tutoring program in the Dane County area high schools. We provides algebra and geometry tutors to high school students in one-on-one tutoring sessions. The hope is to engage students in learning and facilitating productive study habits. Achievement Connections mobilizes the community to support student achievement in Algebra and Geometry. We create the positive relationships that allow us to support students by pairing them with a tutor for at least an entire semester, if not an entire year. We train and place math tutors in supervised tutoring centers across five Madison-Area high schools. Each school has its own team of volunteers, supported by AmeriCorps members and school staff. We work closely with math teachers to wrap around the content and methods they use in class.

Volunteers commit 2 hours per week, on alternating days, anytime from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, for the remainder of the semester.
Volunteers tutor students from one of the five high schools in Dane County: West, East, La Follette, James Madison Memorial, or Middleton.
