Jones Leadership Center: Finding Understanding
Where/When: November 4th, 5:30-6:30PM, Memorial Union

Description: This program is FREE to all UW Students. In this workshop, you will recognize personal biases, appreciate and respect differences, learn how to explore and understand whose values differ from our own, understand verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication, and communicate with others.
 
Jones Leadership Center: College Leadership Summit
Where/When: November 5th, 9AM-3PM, Virtual

Description: Join Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center for a free virtual summit to engage college students in critical reflection on the topics of social justice, human rights, and inclusion.
Students will participate in engaging virtual sessions and hear from inspirational speakers who have made a difference in their communities. Students will leave empowered to take a stand against injustice on their campuses and beyond.
 
Jones Leadership Center: Speaker Zoe Timms 
Where/When: November 11th, 6:30-7:30PM, Memorial Union

Description: Zoë Timms is the founder and director of the Women’s Education Project. The Women’s Education project works on bringing higher education and leadership training to women in India who do not have access to these things. Ms. Timms attended UW-Madison and first traveled to India through the study abroad program. She was inspired on this trip to help the women she met and began her foundation a few years later. 
 
Jones Leadership Center: Allyship

Description: This program is FREE to all UW Students. Come to this workshop hosted by the Jones Leadership Center to learn about the benefits of allyship in a learning community.
 
Authentic Leader of the Month

Description: Every month, the JLC recognizes a UW-Madison student who embodies the traits of a positive authentic leader; someone who uses an inclusive, relational approach to guide others towards achieving a shared vision. We believe an authentic leader is hardworking, trustworthy and genuine in all that they do.
If you know an authentic student leader at UW-Madison, please nominate them for the Leader of the Month award! Students whose nomination is selected as the ALM will receive a certificate and a feature on our social media. The ALM winner AND their nominator will also receive a gift card for a local food delivery app or coffee shop of their choice.
