We are excited to announce that Dr. LaVar J. Charleston, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Diversity & Inclusion, Vice Provost & Diversity Officer, and Elzie Higginbottom Director, will deliver this year’s RED Talk, focusing on our theme of “Badgers We Are Better Together.” Following Dr. Charleston’s presentation, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session. We hope to see you at the Marquee Theater at Union South!

Join Be the Match to spread awareness about bone marrow donation and add students to the registry of eligible donors that go on to save the lives of people with leukemias, lymphomas or other blood cancers!

Stop by Union South in your Badger apparel on Tuesday from 2:00-3:00 for $1 Adobo Chicken tacos from the South Cantina or from 3:00-4:00 for a $1 ice cream scoop from Daily Scoop. Both specials are available while supplies last and are limited to one order per customer.

Watch as students step, stroll and perform on the big stage. Hosted in partnership with the office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC). Learn more about the councils. The cost to attend is $10 per person for alumni and free for students. All proceeds will support the installation of the Divine Nine Garden Plaza.

Show your Badger Spirit and join in the tradition of the Homecoming Parade! This year’s parade theme is Trick or Treat.

The Homecoming Parade began in 1913 as the UW Marching Band and alumni marched down State Street to the alumni bonfire. The parade is as beloved a tradition as any at this university, and it’s a great way to get ready for Saturday’s big game!

Continue to celebrate your Badger Pride immediately following the Homecoming Parade at the Homecoming Block Party. This event will be held at One Alumni Place (Alumni Park) and 800 Langdon St (Memorial Union Terrace)! Students, alumni, community members, and families are welcome to participate.

Events include:

• Silent Disco

• Interactive Mural making with alumni artist Emily Balsley ‘01

• Stargazing with Washburn Observatory

• Funny Faces Caricature Artists & Glitter Tattoos

• Performances by Pitches and Notes Acappella group

• Magician Matthew Teague

• Puppets from the Wild Rumpus Circus, and free hot apple cider and cocoa

• Homecoming Pep Rally with UW Marching Band, Montee Ball, and UW Women’s Basketball Coach Marisa Moseley

• Performances from the UW Marching Band and Bucky Badger (live on the Terrace stage and live-streamed to your home)

• Fireworks at 8:45 pm
