Each year, during the fall semester, the School of Nursing releases its call for the annual Research and Scholarship Award proposals. All DNP, PhD, and BSN Honors Program students in good academic standing are eligible to apply. Awards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 are distributed to support student research and scholarship, and specifically data collection, the development of research ideas or scholarly interests, professional development, and other research-related activities.
Full details on the Research and Scholarship Awards, including the application form and submission details, are found HERE. Students must include the application form, a Project Summary or Research Plan, a budget, and a copy of their CV/resume. These documents should be submitted as one PDF document. Award applications are due October 15 and awarded funds will be available to students in the form of UW project accounts in early December. The Nursing Research and Sponsored Programs (NRSP) office will schedule a meeting with students receiving an award.
We encourage all students to review the information about the awards, talk to your advisor about the opportunity, and work to prepare a submission by the October 15 deadline. If you have any questions on this process, please feel free to contact Assistant Dean Katie Bleier at katie.bleier@wisc.edu.
