Student Volunteer Opportunity – Community Outreach and Education
The UW Health Burn Center promotes burn safety every year at local National Nights Out. They are in need of volunteers (you) to help run their booth and deliver burn safety messages to people of all ages.
This year, the UW Health Burn Program will be promoting burn injury prevention at the Black Earth, Middleton, Monona, Fitchburg, and Deforest National Nights Out in August and September. The topics covered include kitchen, bathroom, campfire, firework, sun, and electrical safety. Students do not need to have burn knowledge or expertise to participate.
If willing to volunteer for any of the events, please email Lori Mickelson, the Burn Program Manager at LMickelson@uwhealth.org or call her at 608-333-5910.
