Register for Building Trust workshop for research faculty, staff, and grad students

Building Trust is an evidence-based curriculum offered by the UW Collaborative Center for Health Equity (CCHE) to help research staff and faculty become more intentional and successful at recruiting and retaining study participants from communities of color.

Through the Building Trust curriculum, participants will respond to trigger films; discuss complex ethical issues; and practice skills for enhancing recruitment, retention, informed consent, and the development of community partnerships. The overall objectives are to strengthen the capacity of researchers to ethically engage with communities of color; and effectively recruit and retain diverse participants in research. The goal of health equity is central to this work.

The School of Nursing’s Center for Aging Research and Education is working with CCHE and Institute for Clinical and Translational Research to offer an online Building Trust workshop. There will be synchronous sessions on four consecutive Wednesdays, from 10 am to 12 noon (October 14, 21, 28; and November 4), with reading and activities on your own in between sessions.

Please RSVP early – space is limited to facilitate small group work: https://uwnursing.formstack.com/forms/building_trust
