Spring Practice Labs for Accelerated and Second-Year Traditional BSN Students – sign up today

The School of Nursing is happy to be offering opportunities for focused practice lab sessions for second-year students in the Traditional BSN program and students in the Accelerated BSN program. These labs are in response to requests from students for additional practice time in the Center for Technology-Enhanced Nursing (CTEN).

The faculty-led lab sessions will be held on Friday, January 25, and Friday, March 29, in conjunction with the start of the two spring N446 clinical rotations. Four topics will be covered (Assessment, IVs, Oxygenation, and Lines and Drains), and each of these topics will be offered in back-to-back one-hour sessions running from 8:15am to 1:15pm. More information on what will be covered within each topic is available in the registration system. Students may register for up to one lab topic (i.e., Assessment, IVs, Oxygenation, or Lines and Drains) each date (i.e., Jan. 25 and March 29), for a maximum of two total lab sessions.

Sessions will be filled on a first come, first served basis. There are not enough slots for all students so please only sign up if you are fully committed to attending. When you enter the registration system, you will be asked to pick a lab topic and then the date you wish to attend. If you would like to register for a lab for both dates, please complete that process (pick lab topic then pick date) twice.
