Asia America Career Connection (AACC)

The AACC Program combines professional shadowing at China’s top hospitals with the exploration of Chinese culture, places, and culinary delights.

AACC offers 1 to 5 week physician, nursing and dentistry shadowing programs at some of the top Chinese teaching hospitals during both winter and summer breaks. The program covers the hospital shadowing, accommodations, meals, group sightseeing trips, cultural classes, transportation to and from the airport and more!

Students will have the opportunity to shadow physicians from a variety of departments, as well as learn about the Chinese healthcare system and earn international volunteer service hours. Most of the physicians have worked, studied or traveled in the US or other English speaking countries and can speak English fluently. Additionally, students have access to translator services provided by local staff.

AACC has worked with students from numerous top schools such as University of North Carolina (Charlotte and Chapel Hill), North Carolina Central University, Duke University, University of Virginia, University of Maryland, University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Augusta University, Towson University, Morgan State University, Northwestern University, UCLA, and many others. Teachers and professors are welcome to participate and experience the program at no cost if more than 10 students sign up and attend the program!

You can find videos, photos, student blogs, and much more information at AACC’s website and on their YouTube Channel!
