Greetings,
Are you a first-year student interested in acquiring an enriched view of nursing science during your time in the nursing program? Are you looking to gain early research involvement with a faculty member? Or, are you considering an advanced degree in Nursing, perhaps a PhD?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Nursing Honors Program may be for you! On Monday, October 8th, the school will be hosting a Nursing Honors Program Information Session to provide students an opportunity to learn more about the honors program and ask questions.
Nursing Honors Program & Early Entry PhD Option Information Session
Monday, October 8th from 1-2pm
Room 1231 Signe Skott Cooper Hall
In this information session, we will first discuss what exactly the Nursing Honors Program is and what one can gain from taking part in the program. We will also talk about how the honors program fits into the BSN curriculum and conclude with an overview and a timeline of the application process. We will also cover the Early Entry PhD Option, which allows students to get a head start on their PhD during their second year in the Nursing program. Time will be available at the end of the session for students to ask any questions they may have about the program or the application process. All traditional first-year BSN students interested in these programs are welcome to attend the information session and apply to the program.
We hope you will consider the Nursing Honors Program and look forward to seeing you next week Monday!
