AHEC Scholars
-Explore beyond the classroom and gain real world experiences across WI with AHEC Scholars.
-Open to students who are seeking a degree or certificate in a health professions program.
-A two-year interprofessional program for health profession students in WI: 40 hours community-based, experiential, or clinical training in rural and/or underserved areas per year; 40 hours didactic education per year
-Stipends may be offered based on region. The amount will be determined based on training needs, up to $250 per year.
Interprofessional Healthcare Case Competition
-Discover the complexity of the healthcare delivery system and the need for collaboration between healthcare professionals to reach the best health outcomes for patients.
-Top 3 teams are awarded cash prizes!
-Teams will conduct an analysis of interprofessional efforts during the care of a patient
-Health professions students from any degree/discipline are eligible to compete.
-Top teams will travel to the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells on January 10-11, 2019 to present their case in front of a panel of judges. Competitors stay for free!
