We are currently in the process of organizing a poverty simulation for the benefit of WI AHEC’s Community Health Interns. The poverty simulation is taking place on Monday, June 4 in Rennebohm Hall within the School of Pharmacy. It would be around 5 hours of volunteer work, with 3 hours to prep the room and 2 hours to run it (11-4 pm).
This is a valuable opportunity for people who want to learn more about how poverty affects one’s access to healthcare.
We are looking for volunteers to help run the simulations, if you are interested or would like to participate, please email internships@ahec.wisc.edu!
Thank you!
AHEC Internship Team
