DNP and PhD students, you are cordially invited to join the Graduate Nursing Student Organization (GNSO), a new student organization for DNP, PhD, and future graduate in Nursing students. The aim of GNSO is to foster professional development, promote research in health science, disseminate and implement evidence-based practice, and advocate for the health of individuals, communities, and health professionals. Essentially, we created this student organization to strengthen professional and research skills in areas that we may not be exposed to through our coursework or our programs (i.e., reading radiology reports, statistical software programs, etc.).
This semester, GNSO will host a few events aimed at strengthening clinical and research skills. As of now, our planned events will be a clinical case-study presentation and statistical software training. However, we are open to suggestions for other type of events that you think would benefit you and others.
If you would like to join GNSO or hear about our events, please complete the 30-second google survey. By signing up, you’re not committed to attending any events. By joining, you’ll receive emails regarding upcoming events and other relevant activities. (We promise not to send an overwhelming amount of emails.) Also, bonus, by joining GNSO, you can add your membership to your resume. If you’re interested in joining GNSO, please complete the Google Survey by Feb 18th.
If you have questions about GNSO, feel free to reach out to us. We plan to contact all members in the next month or so with information regarding the first event. We hope you join GNSO and hope to see you at our events!!! 😊
