This position is ideal for those who enjoy working independently with a variety of patients and diagnoses and travelling locally to a variety of settings. The Hospice Visit Nurse plays a key role in enhancing quality of life for patients and families facing serious illness and helps with immediate pain and symptom management, education, teaching, nursing assessments, interventions, evaluations, documentation and coordination of care. This position is for the Dane County area, is 28 hours per week from 4pm-12:30am with every other weekend rotation. Benefits eligible. Requirements include an associate degree of Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred), current/unrestricted WI RN license, one year direct patient-care nursing experience (preferably ICU, ER, Medical-Surgery, Oncology or Palliative Care or 2 years relevant health care experience), and a valid WI drivers license and care insurance with reliable access to an automobile in good operating condition.
