It has come to our attention that Pearson Publishing is in the news for racist and stereotypical text in a nursing text. UW-Madison nursing students and faculty have expressed their concern. Students have noted some similar patterns in the Pearson text used here. We commend students and faculty for bringing a critical lens to appraising the text. We wanted the SoN constituency to know that we are aware of the issue and will be in dialogue about how best to respond to this issue.
